NT: Darwin's vision for the future

Chief Minister CLARE MARTIN has told a summit in the Northern Territory .. Darwin's
future is a critical issue.

But a whole group of interested people are getting together .. to decide the way forward
for the NT capital.

Construction sites currently dot Darwin's inner-city streets .. including a one billion
dollar construction on the harbour and a massive Chinatown development.

Following six months of community consultation .. Ms MARTIN says there are 93 separate
proposals for the city's future.

They include a city centre that looks outward to the harbour .. and a ring of green
around the CBD.
