13 January 2011 - French national lottery operator La Francaise des Jeux said yesterday its revenue from online sports bets climbed to EUR91m (USD119.5m) in 2010 from EUR43m in 2009.

La Francaise des Jeux, which runs online under the brand Parionsweb, believes it owns a market share of 15%, versus 4% in 2009, and targets 25% by 2012.

The company registered a total revenue of EUR1.14bn, up 46% on the year, supported by the boom of bets on the Internet and the dynamism of traditional sales points.

The network of 24,700 sales points generated a revenue of EUR1.05bn, up 42% on the year.

Sports bets account for 10% of the company's total revenue.
